For the Ministry of Agriculture's PADEE project, funded by IFAD, Action IEC helped to design and adapt a Hip-Pocket guide for agriculture extension workers. The Hip-Pocket guide shows the various activities and processes to follow in order to lift farmers out of poverty. It contains key instructions on financial management, primary farming practices and the processes that help to sustain farmer groups. To complement this manual Action IEC also helped to design and adapt a farmer group formation manual. This other publication provides step by step instructions on the formation of a farmer group. These products were printed using a pocket manual size so that they would be easy to carry and use by the extension workers. |
